IOCL Apprentice 2023 Stipend

The stipend for apprentices per month will be as per the Apprentices Act and its amendments.

IOCL Apprentice Selection Process

The selection process for IOCL Apprentice 2023 will be based on a written test, consisting of objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates who qualify in the online test may be called for online document verification.

IOCL Apprentice Exam 2023-24 Details

The merit list will be determined based on candidates’ performance in the written test, which has a duration of 2 hours. In case of a tie in marks, priority will be given to the older candidate based on their date of birth. Call letters for the written test will be issued to all candidates who meet the preliminary eligibility criteria.

IOCL Apprentice Exam Syllabus 2023

The written test will cover technical acumen in the relevant discipline, generic aptitude (including quantitative aptitude), reasoning abilities, and basic English language skills.

How to Apply for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2023

  • Eligible candidates can apply online through the IOCL Apprentice Online Application Portal (www.iocrefrecruit.in) starting from October 21, 2023.
  • Applicants must have an active email ID and mobile phone number that will remain valid for at least the next year.
  • After completing the online application, candidates should upload scanned copies of their color photograph, signature in jpg format, and other relevant documents.
  • The last date for online application registration is November 20, 2023, up to 11:55 PM.

Selection Process

  • Selection for these positions will be primarily based on the candidates’ performance in the Written Test, a two-hour examination. Successful candidates must also meet the eligibility criteria specified in the job notification.
  • In the event of a tie in the marks obtained by two or more candidates in the written test, the candidate’s date of birth (with preference given to the older candidate) will be the determining factor in ranking them on the merit list.
  • As indicated in their online applications, All candidates who meet the preliminary eligibility criteria will receive call letters for the Written Test.
  • The written test will take place in Delhi for candidates applying for apprenticeships at Panipat Refinery and Petrochemical Complex. Detailed venue information will be provided in the Admit Card.
  • The Written Test will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), offering four options with one correct answer.
  • To qualify for the selection process, a candidate must achieve a minimum of 40% marks in the Written Test. However, for candidates from SC/PwBD categories applying for reserved positions, the minimum qualifying marks are set at 35%. It’s important to note that meeting these minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not guarantee a candidate’s shortlisting for Document Verification or final selection. Final selection is based on the candidate’s rank in the merit list, which considers their performance in the Written Test, the number of available seats in specific Trades/Disciplines, eligibility criteria fulfillment, and successful document verification.
  • Candidates from PwBD categories who have availed concessions in eligibility qualification marks or in Written Test qualifying marks will be considered against reserved seats, regardless of their position in the select list. Their selection will be made in order of merit within the category.
  • The allocation of seats is entirely at the discretion of the management, which selects candidates based on their suitability for the position. Please be aware that no claims can be made for engagement, and any unfilled seats may be due to a lack of suitable candidates or other reasons.
